Inner West Goofies (Australia) by Randolph Fields
Inner West Goofies is based on true events in Sydney’s so-called progressive Inner West. A Black Queer artist confronts a new dysphoria amid passive and complicit neighbors, as racial and homophobic slurs escalate into a modern-day lynching; interrogating the dangerous, performative nature of performative activism.

First Encounter (Australia) by Marielle Madly Gonier
Marielle depicts a landscape full of the sensations of the first time, through her initial encounter with the Australian bush. She is transported to a land she is still discovering, yet one that seems eager to impart its (hi)story to her, however beautiful and painful it may be. Throughout this quest, the artist explores an unfamiliar terrain, transcending the boundaries between the conscious and the subconscious.

An Ordinary Insanity (United States) by Judith Irene Ehrlich
Before he released the secret history of the Vietnam War and became the most renowned whistleblower of the 20th century, Daniel Ellsberg was a nuclear war planner. He not only spirited thousands of pages of the Pentagon Papers out of his safe at the Rand Corporation but also an equally damning treasure trove of nuclear secrets. Before he passed away in 2023, he spoke directly and passionately to camera about his deep regrets and specific proposals for controlling the Doomsday Machine. Ellsberg spent the last 50 years of his life working tirelessly against nuclear weapons and war. In the process, he was arrested over 80 times for civil disobedience.

The Insides of our Lives (Netherlands) by Misja Pekel
The Insides of Our Lives is a poetic blend that combines fiction with found footage. A selection from thousands of hours of found footage - mostly 8mm material - tells the coming-of-age story of two girls growing up along a border in Europe, as the border gradually drives them apart. The story sensitively portrays what it means to grow up in a world where one day fences appear, creating an 'us' and a 'them'. The film, though composed with footage of hundreds of different lives that have been filmed, is crafted in such a way that it feels like the life of one person.
